Emergen is a safety communication tool that allows a bystander to contact a registered emergency contact after scanning a QR code during urgent situations.
Use of Service
By using Emergen, users agree that:
- They voluntarily provide emergency contact information.
- Their information may be accessed after a QR scan during an emergency.
- Masked calls and SMS messages may be sent through secure relay communication services.
- Emergen is intended only for emergency-support communication.
SMS Communication Consent
This SMS program is operated by Emergen. Program name: Emergen Emergency Alerts
- Emergen app users consent to SMS communication upon registration. Emergency contacts designated by an app user consent by receiving an automated Welcome SMS at the time they are added: "You have been added as an emergency contact by [User Name]. You will only receive texts if they have an emergency. Reply STOP to opt out, HELP for help." No further messages are sent to emergency contacts until an actual emergency event is triggered.

- Users may reply STOP to opt out of SMS messages at any time.
- Users may reply HELP for assistance.
Privacy Protection
Emergen protects personal contact information by using relay communication technology so that phone numbers are not shared between bystanders and emergency contacts.
No Replacement for Emergency Services
Emergen does not replace 911 or professional medical responders. Users should always contact emergency services when needed.

Emergen is provided as a supplemental safety tool and does not guarantee delivery or availability of communication services at all times.
